About the NBA: The NBA is the premier professional basketball league in the United States and Canada. The league is truly global, with games and programming in 215 countries and territories in 47 languages, as well as NBA rosters at the start of the 2015-16 season featuring 100 international players from 37 countries and territories. For the 2015-16 season, each of the league's 30 teams will play 82 regular-season games, followed by a postseason for those that qualify. Shaquille Rashaun "Shaq" O'Neal is a retired professional American basketball player. He is 7 ft 1 (2.16 m) tall and 325 pounds (147 kg), which makes him one of the tallest , strongest and heaviest players ever. O'Neal played for six teams over his 19-year career. Following his time at Louisiana State University, O'Neal was drafted by the Orlando Magic with the first overall pick in the 1992 NBA draft. He won the rookie of the year in the 1992-93 NBA season.  He led the team which drafted him, the Orlando Magic to the 1995 NBA finals to whom they lost against the Houston Rockets in the finals.  in the year 2000, 2001 and 2002  Shaq had won 3 straight championships and finals MVPs and a league MVP in the year 2000 with a vote share of 99.8%(121 out of  122 votes) which was almost close to making him the first unanimous MVP in league history. NBA players in India

Gursimran "Sim" Bhullar-- a Canadian professional basketball player-- is the first player of Indian origin to play an NBA match when he represented Sacramento Kings in 2015. He is 7ft 5 inches tall and weighs about 360 pounds! Since then, Satnam Singh has made history by becoming the first Indian player to be selected in the NBA Draft, as he was chosen by the Dallas Mavericks as the 52nd overall pick in the second round of the NBA Draft. He is 7 ft 2 inches tall. Amjyot Singh is another notable basketball player who plays in the NBA-G league.

India will soon have access to another world-class American product -- National Basketball Association (NBA) basketball --  US President Donald Trump announced on September 22. Trump, who was speaking at the NRG stadium to over 50,000 Indian-Americans, said that America is committed to ensuring Indians have access to the finest goods in the world, products stamped with the beautiful phrase 'Make in the USA'."And very soon, India will have access to another world-class American product - NBA basketball. This event is held every year in the United States selling infinite numbers of tickets for over twenty years. Joel Embiid, An NBA all-star from Cameroon Almost every NBA player becomes a multi-millionaire before the age of 25! An average NBA player gets paid a salary of 3 million dollars every year! The NBA creates room for allowing basketball players to develop a brand by signing massive contracts with huge companies.    This allows them to turn into a worldwide personality and eventually become a celebrity and inspire different people across the world. Many NBA players have come from foreign countries and have had amazing careers.

William Felton Russell is  an American former professional basketball player who played center for the Boston Celtics of the National Basketball Association (NBA) from 1956 to 1969. A five-time NBA Most Valuable Player and a twelve-time All-Star, he was the centrepiece of the Celtics dynasty that won eleven NBA championships during his thirteen-year career. Russell and Henri Richard of the National Hockey League are tied for the record of the most championships won by an athlete in a North American sports league. Russell led the University of San Francisco to two consecutive NCAA championships in 1955 and 1956, and he captained the gold-medal-winning U.S. national basketball team at the 1956 Summer Olympics.
